I love YouTube. Not in the casual “watch a MrBeast video at lunch” type of way. This fascination started back when I got my iPod touch in fifth grade, and ever since I discovered that glorious red play button, I’ve been hooked. It’s where I fell in love with video and where I learned that with enough YouTube videos, I’m unstoppable. My recent search history includes: how to unclog a sink (taught by a woman), Just Dance 4: Call Me Maybe, GAP Katseye (4-hour loop), and, most recently, how to create a flash bang in Premiere Pro.
I never realized it until college, but all those hours of random videos led me here. I fell in love with the process of piecing together ideas to create something beautiful.
I’m Alissa Gill, an advertising student at Indiana University. I plan over-the-top themed parties for my roommates, read romance novels with dragons, and believe there’s a YouTube tutorial for absolutely everything. Consider this your behind-the-scenes pass to the two YouTube channels I’ve run (you’ll find them in this portfolio).
